An unassuming, dry, brown tangle of dead plant, like a desktop tumbleweed. Put it in a bowl of water and gradually over the course of several hours, it opens and turns green. Not dead, just resting! Remove it from the water and watch it slowly dry, brown, and turn dormant once again until the next watering.
